Every organization faces ethical challenges and so ethical violation is a common occurrence in many organizations. Managers should be keen regarding ethical practices. A lot of ethical requirements should be considered as an individual and when serving others. Out of experience, in several occasions, employees are faced with the dilemma when some managers request for a kick back before renewing employees’ contract. If employees do not issue the requested amount, some managers would refuse to sign the contract to suit his interest.
Most managers apply ethical egoism in decision making process, in that they make decisions based on their own interest. However, managers should always apply the theory of altruism where they put their employees above themselves.
