According to the Bureau of Labour Statistics, the three fastest growing occupations that require an advanced degree education are physical therapist assistants, occupational therapy assistants and wind turbine service technicians. The earnings rate for people with bachelor’s degree is twice as much than for those with a high school diploma. The rate of unemployment for people with a high school diploma has been recorded to be higher than for those with a bachelor’s degree. The long term projection growth for the occupation of a personal financial advisor was recorded by the Bureau of Labour Statistics as 39.2% in the year 2022. The job outlook for the same occupation will grow by 30% by 2022, which is much more than average for most occupations (Emily Richards, 2013).
Chapter one on the workforce portrays that America’s education level is changing in order to meet the future demands of the world which will be highly innovative and technical. I would need to advance my education in my career path so that I can efficiently tackle the innovative technologies that we would be facing in future.
