For your case assignment this session the organization you will be reviewing is Dish.  You will be considering how this organization competes within a very competitive industry.  


After reviewing the book section, presentation materials, and additional readings, consider the organization’s mission/vision/values and key stakeholders and discuss the organization’s position and niche in the competitive environment.  


Make sure you present the company’s mission, vision, and/or values (whatever the company makes available to the public along these lines), and discuss the company’s most important primary stakeholders. Indicate whether you believe the company’s mission, vision, and/or value statements are in alignment with stakeholder needs. That is, does the organization treat key stakeholders in a fashion that is in alignment with its posted mission/vision/values? 


Also, is the organization’s mission/vision/values in alignment with the volatile environment in which it competes?

The vision and mission of the DISH Network is focused on employees and customers of the organization. The mission of the organization reflects its principle business goals, identity, core business, and values. The vision of the organization provides a wide, aspirational picture of the company’s future. The mission of the company aims to offer quality products through excellent sales services to each home in the United States. In other words, the mission of the firm is to offer customers with the most excellent entertainment experience for affordable prices and to become a market leader in innovative technologies. DISH is a broadcast satellite operator, cable television, telecommunication and streaming media company. The organization applies strategic alternatives to develop its market share and to align its mission, vision, and values with its goals to effectively compete in the volatile environment (Charles, Melissa, and Gareth, 2016). First, the firm uses strategies such as great technological advancement, low-cost leadership, and brand recognition to be a strong player in the wireless industry. Secondly, the company utilizes EchoStar to develop new important gadgets or other features. Thirdly, the firm focuses on IPTV, HD and 3D to develop the competitive advantage. Fourth, the organization continuously develops new programs in HR department, hires experienced and competent employees, and creates training opportunities to enhance the satisfaction of employees and customers. Lastly, the organization remains committed responsible for its actions to ensure that shareholders, customers, employees are satisfied and hires highly competent lawyers to address any lawsuit claimed by anybody and company.
DISH serves what everyone needs for the televised entertainment. The firm serves at least 14 million subscribers that consist of business clients in industries such as retail, restaurant, and hospitality. It provides programming service, SIRIUS radio, specialty and regional Sports channels, premium movies, international and local channels, pay-per-view as well as basic video programming (Ramachandran and Ziobro, 2013). The company also provides Internet services and bundled voice services in collaborations with data and voice communication providers.
