Sources and use of funds
The sources and use of funds take into account how much money is needed, where it comes from and how it will be put to use. This is particularly important when seeking funds from investors and lenders. It is assumed that the sources will be equal to the uses. As a startup company, it is assumed that the company will start on a small scale and then expand with time, and hence there is no need to pile up too much debt without first increasing the level of sales.
