Inclusive leadership is one of the commonly discussed topics when discussing organizational leadership. The effects of globalization have necessitated organization leaders to reconsider their leadership style to be more effective when dealing with staffs from different background. Inclusive leadership requires leaders to adopt specific traits to stay competent (Owen, 2012).
My main reason for choosing this topic is to highlight how leadership is an important element in understanding organizational behavior and how leadership can influence production. A good leader needs to understand the differences and similarities of all the staffs and adopt an appropriate approach to accommodate all these dynamism to achieve the set organizational objectives. That is why leadership is an appropriate topic when discussing organizational behavior because leadership influences certain behaviors within the organization (Ayman & Korabik, 2010).
Inclusive leadership is relevant to the study of organizational behavior because leadership is part of understanding organizational behavior. Leadership is connected to management; inclusive leadership helps us understand human behavior within the organization (Ayman & Korabik, 2010). A good leader steers an organization to achieve the set objectives; an inclusive leader needs to be open-minded and develop the need to understand his staff view especially when faced with an ambiguous situation. Inclusive leaders need to adopt certain traits to foster diversity and improve productivity.
