Constrain consumption is highly depended on an individual’s believes because not all people have the same preference for goods and services. Therefore, while doing a review of the topic of constrain consumption, it is important to analyze the tastes of the parties involved in order to come up with a conclusive decision on the differences that exist in the constrain consumption of the various individuals. One of the main difference is observed in the constrain consumption of Christians and non Christians. The same constrain consumption brings about a huge difference in the indifference curves of both parties and their budget lines due to the fact that they have totally different believes when it comes to spending.
Christians have a godly believe and do not give much concern to material things. As a result, they will end up saving the extra amount of money or even participate in charity giving to help the less privilledged in life. On the other hand, a non-Christian earning the same amount of income will focus on purchasing a lot of material things that are known to bring luxury to one’s life. Hence, at the end of the day, that person will have less money left to save as compared to the Christian believer.
Also, non-Christians do not have a strong believe towards the idea of helping the poor and this means that the idea of giving extra amounts to the poor will rarely be part of their constrain consumption. Christians are highly associated with ethical consumption that deals with the consideration of the poor and the future of the economy since they have a strong b...
