The feedback control system proposed in this case has major flaws and strengths. The strengths that the system has are that it will ensure that the teachers are committed to their work in order to make sure that they do not get low ratings during the evaluation period. This definitely improves the quality of education that is offered especially in public schools where the quality of education has for a long time been considered poor. The feedback system is also ideal as it ensures that improvements are made in areas where they are most required. The problem with the feedback system is that it is likely to be flawed since most of the principals and master teachers who are involved in the evaluation process already have a preconceived idea of what to state during the feedback control system. This makes the whole system unreliable. In order to overcome these flaws, the government needs to ensure that the people who are involved in the evaluation process do not come from the area being assessed. The location of the school should also be put into focus while making the evaluations to factor in the outside influences that determine student performance (Hunt, Wiseman, & Touzel, 2009).
The 1-5 grading system by principal teachers and master teachers cannot be said to be a valuable part of a feedback control system for teachers. To start with, this system does not in any way reflect the true state of the quality of education that is offered by the teachers. In most cases, the grading criterion is offered based on the expectation that the principals or the master teachers have on teachers from different localities.
