Proposal: Compensation Plan for the Sales team.
To ensure that the company`s newly adopted strategy of acquiring of a merger with Envirotech materializes and becomes successful in realization of its set goals and objectives, some of the tools for achieving this will include development of a new compensation plan for the entire team/all staff members of the company. This will ensure that staff becomes motivated and willing to perform their designated duties. This will lead to improved performance and efficiency hence capable of facing new challenges as the company expands its market base and knowledge.
This paper is my Proposal of a Compensation plan for the sales team comprising of five staff members. The staff members in the sales team include: Jim Martin (the Vice President of Sales), Shane Huck (the Sales Manager), Susan Brunt (Outside Sales Representative), Dennis White (Outside Sales Representative) and Terry Garcia (Outside Sales Representative).
I propose that my team be considered for compensation especially when they perform an exemplary work for the company. For instance I propose that the company gives commissions to employees who sale the company`s products beyond their set targets. Any member of the sales team is entitled to a fixed percentage of the total value of sold above personal set target. This will entice individual staff member to work extra hard to sell as much products as much as possible to ensure that they earn bigger commissions.
The company will be able to achieve its set objectives if they consider offering training opportunities for its staff especially to those who want to develop their careers or those who want to update their skills to the new technology adapted by the company. The company in collaboration with its merger can share the cost incurred in offering sessional trainings or in paying of tuition fees for staff members who opt to join institutions. Members of staff will be more willing to work for the company if they feel that the employer is contributing to their career development.
I also propose that the sales team is awarded allowances e.g. mileage allowance if they proof to benefit the company by using a personal or company car in the sales job. This will enable them to travel more and increase their sales without worrying of the expenses incurred in terms of gas and maintenance.
