The new trends in management accounting can help businesses manage costs better such as the chargeback billing system showing a more accurate and fair presentation of consumption of costs (Conkin, 2014). Determining the cost consumption rates partly depends on ability to measure usage. When the employees of Herbalife Company first consumed the products meant for sale, this affected operations yet there was a need to optimize operations when there is forecast of customer demand. Allocating costs depending on usage and services for the internal chargeback is better than the centralized costs.
