Harvey's Abilene Paradox and Janis's Groupthink concepts share the same ideology because they relate to defective decision-making; However, several researchers emphasize that these two concepts may be different. Janis group thinks mirrors that of Abilene's story whereby confusion emerges because the two concepts have not differentiated their difference.
