Designing New Combat Uniforms for Soldiers
1 Subtract – I would get rid of the current and most famous fabric which does not support the use of starch in uniform ironing or in steam pressing.
2 Repeat – The new uniforms would continue to have the current name tapes, Near Infra-Red straps, shoulder patches and tabs. I would also retain the Universal Camouflage Pattern on the new fabric that blends tan, grey, and green colors as well as the flame-retardant fabric technology.
3 Combine – I would incorporate bullet proof spider silk to the Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP) fabric, for the jackets, vests and trousers.
4 Add – The fabric would have micro sensors that would use seismic-like waves to identify likely direction of enemies based on vibrations made on the surface of the earth.
5 Transfer – The new uniforms would be relocated to other countries across the world for use by different militaries. The uniforms would be packaged in flame-retardant square cases in readiness for relocation.
6 Animate – In making the new military fabric, I would incorporate a fingerprint sensor that would make the uniform ‘air fill’ itself when the owner touches it.
7 Empathize – I would make all users (both direct and indirect) to share and feel excited by the new uniform by applying new technological advancements to captivate them.
8 Superimpose – The new uniform will consist of the current fabric being overlaid to a new set of fabric that is breakage-resistant, dirt, oil, water, and discoloration-resistant. This will greatly improve on the current military garment in use in terms of toughness and durability.
9 Substitute – The normal zipper and button jackets and trousers would be substituted with laser straps that would open or close upon issuance of directions by the owner through micro laser pointers.
