Jazz music has all the components that other music has, but it is special in its presentation, thus earning the name "America's Classical Music" due to the rich musical blending. The slow tunes in Jazz music soothe and relaxes the mind, thus improving moods. Its soothing nature makes me appreciate jazz music ever since I learned about it. In a real sense, music activates the brain, and it becomes popular according to its effects on people. Thus every piece has a message that needs to be understood. This essay explores the "Three Bags Full" by Hancock and analyzes its impact in the jazz music world.
Three bags full is found in Hancock's album titled Takin' Off, among his other songs. Hancock is an American pianist, keyboardist, actor, bandleader, and composer termed as Piano's godfather due to his Jazz sector efforts. The love people have for his harmonic music made him famous, and currently, he is the chairman at Herbie Hancock jazz institute, also called 'Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz until 2019' (Chinen, 2019). The music is a hard bop that stands out due to two horns and the other instruments' rhythm. The blues, which are the flattened notes, blend the music to make it classical.
