Malcolm X was an activist that had massive influence on the nation of Islam, NOI, and tis was largely relative to the framework of Jihad of words. The jihad of words was largely developed by Malcolm, as he used his knowledge in the Islamic faith and political acumen to make sure that the African Americans had a chance to share in equal rights. The framework set out by Malcom, was pegged African American Islamic codes, diversity and most importantly consciousness. The hip hop music is one of the most acclaimed music genres where artists express their frustrations in the society. However, the hip hop umma does not just bring out the consciousness they want to see in the society.
