HISTORY OF PHOTO 1
Documentary photography is a known type of filmmaking used to record both significant and applicable to history and any historical actions and also everyday life. It is usually seen in professional photojournalism and real life reporting’s, it may also be a recreational, creative or scholarly search. According to the Bowery, in New York documentary photography has been used to curb social morals, which have in the past been unaddressed, these include drunkenness, and generalized poverty (Day, 2011).These social issues have been photographed for no particular reason. In contrast, most of the journalistic views that have been taken from the working class, refugees, slum dwellers and other social work propagandizing meant to correct wrongs. However, they do not recognize that those wrongs as essential to the community system that tolerated them. Consequently, reformers such as Riis and Margaret Sanger, have strongly considered the fact that social evils such as, crime, prostitution, disease, discrimination, would in the end intimidate the safety and health of polite society and the poor. Photographers such as war photography, slums photography, cult photography, photography of the foreign poor and photography of deviance should be appreciated. This is for their bravery, as they risk their lives to addressing a given issue (Day, 2011).They undergo physical danger, social restrictiveness, and human decay in their work. For example, the astronauts who entertain people through their views of the places they visit, we never hope to go. Therefore, filmmakers shouldn’t be charged in their reporting’s instead needed to be thanked. The reason for this is that through their work they show how our ancestors are worthy of photographic attention and thus creating a historical record.
Photographers should not be devalued, instead need to be appreciated and their work acknowledged. In real life, ind...
