Pilobolus: A Dance of Symbiosis
Dancing is moving rhythmically to given tune or beat (Adam, 2013). Ever since time immemorial, man has been known to dance to different beats, depending with the occasion, and reasons to dance. There are so many genres of dance around the world all dependent of culture, age, occasions, among others. It is a norm for people to form dance crews with aim of entertainment and work. One example of a dance group is the Pilobolus Dancing Company founded in the year 1971(Adam, 2013). This paper will discuss a performance by Pilobolus, majorly focusing on my reactions to the dance and describe a symbiotic relationship between the dancers.
The dance is very captivating at the beginning, the choice of the song being awesome. The lighting is so captivating since the light is focused on the stage, giving a clear view of what is happening on the stage.
