Research bias implies the researcher’s personal values, views, and beliefs impact data analysis and research findings interpretation. It can result in a skewed or biased interpretation of the research findings, possibly distorting the objective comprehension of the study phenomenon. Such bias can be evident at research process stages such as data collection and analysis. Research bias is an ethical concern since it compromises the research’s integrity (Bergen & Labonte, 2019). Researchers should conduct their studies objectively and unbiasedly, avoiding the unduly impact of their individual biases on interpreting research results. The research findings should be based on robust evidence and rigorous data analysis as opposed to personal preferences or preconceived notions.
