Fed’s Actions During the COVID-19 Crisis
Do you think the actions of the Fed were warranted?
In my opinion, the Feds did everything necessary to protect the well-being of American citizens during the COVID-19 pandemic. Some of the restrictions implemented include physical distancing, avoiding crowded social gatherings, wearing face masks, washing hands regularly, and the closure of various institutions, including schools and organizations dealing with non-essential services (Liu, 2020). In particular, coronavirus is a deadly virus whose infection rate is high. Although some people might say that the Feds acted harshly, I think it was necessary to control the infection rate to ensure that the available resources were enough to help those who became infected. COVID-19 being a deadly disease that was spread through the air, it was more challenging to curb its infection rate. Besides, humans are social creatures and many businesses cannot continue without people moving from one place to another and interacting physically. For instance, individuals have to go to the market to purchase necessities. Those with existing chronic conditions must visit hospitals so that they can get their respective treatments. When all these
