This book by Parish and Taylor discusses how the emergence of computers led to the development of library and information science. This means that people no longer needed to visit physical libraries to obtain information, but rather use online platform accessible by any professions. The authors discuss the concept of law librarians who are acquitted with all types of legal resources through databases such as LenisNexis or Westlaw that they can easily avail to legal professionals in need of it. The main point that the authors are making is that virtual libraries controlled by legal librarians are an important aspect of the legal practice because not all information can be accessed through most search engines. The law librarians are aware of what is available electronically and what is not and so they are crucial to legal practice because they can inform professionals accordingly. The only limitation in this article is that it does not explain how legal librarians source for these electronic materials, but otherwise the book will be crucial in my research paper because it delves deeper into the world of virtual libraries.

This book encourages legal professionals to venture into online legal services, teaches how to set-up successful virtual firm, and promotes the use of the available modern technology to deliver legal services online. The authors also touch on the ethical issues regarding legal malpractices and how to avoid them in online legal services. One limitation of this book is that the drawbacks of conducting legal services online are not thoroughly analyzed to caution potential entrepreneurs who wish to venture into online legal practice. However, this book will offer valuable information about virtual legal services essential for my research paper.
