Change is an essential process for any organization or institution in a competitive environment. The effectiveness of an organization depends on the modification strategies, the processes, and the structures the company implement in undertaking change. Besides, change models are used depending on the situation or the organization’s level or the underlying experience an organization has in change management (Al-Haddad and Timothy). Lewin's change model consists of various stages of organizational change, including unfreezing, movement and refreezing. Lewin's change model was invented by a social psychologist Kurt Lewin (Hussain et al., 123). Subsequently, change management provides a constructive framework vital for managing the organizational change process.
The implementation of Lewin's change model in an organization consists of three essential steps: unfreezing, movement, and refreezing (Hussain et al., 124).
