Introduction: Apocalyptic Thinking
On the one hand, "Two Notes on the End of the World" provides the reader with a basic understanding of what apocalyptic thinking involves. As a reader, I could not help but relate to what the author was talking about. In his letter, which is supposedly written to a Balthasar, the author notes how his recipient is troubled by apocalyptic thinking and tries to get him to avoid such thoughts as no one knows how and when the world will end.
On the other hand, Greg Garrett and his talk on "Living with The Dead, The Wisdom of The Zombie Apocalypse" get the viewer to understand what zombies mean to us. From now on, I will be looking out for the main themes in every movie I watch, and not just the moral story.

Inwood and Tyner note that the U.S. government has promoted military activity in foreign nations for many years under the pretext of bringing peace. However, the authors also note that the U.S. has also been promoting a master narrative whose sole beneficiary is the American empire. It is easy to see how Americans have focused on promoting the idea of dominanc...
