The Tennessee Right to Life advocacy organization is the oldest and largest pro-life organization in Tennessee. It aims at promoting respect for the dignity of human life by the public, from threats of abortion, infanticide, partial-birth abortion, assisted suicide or mercy killing. It sets to achieve this by advocating for the protection of human life despite the age, situation, handicap or social position, through conducting educational outreach, passing laws that protect life, providing women and families suffering and with unplanned pregnancies with resources and developing an active movement in the grassroots within the state (Tennessee Right to Life, 2018).

The current head of Tennessee Right to Life is Brian Harris. Brian has made a career as a pro-life activist, fighting for the passing of laws in Tennessee that every year, comes closer to outlawing abortion. He has dedicated the last fourteen years working in the “Yes on 1” campaign and in this advocacy group to see legislation get to the Senate and legislative floor and become law.
