The child tax credit (CTC) has received notable commendations as a rescue plan for many families and children in the United States. Researchers have expressed their support for the CTC because of its various benefits. Goldin and Michelmore agree that this tax benefit for children is critical as a safety net that provides $2,000 for individuals aged 17 years and below (1). CTC has been in effect since 1998 and has demonstrated its undisputed impact of offsetting the expenses of raising children in the nation (Rostad et al. 7). Such an aspect has assisted millions of families in growing out of the poverty classification. This argument has been one of the most important ones related to the impact of CTC in America, with many supporters indicating that its introduction has transformed families economically.
