Step #5: Now I want you to describe a movie, however, don’t describe any of the movies previously mentioned in the Vimeo or YouTube videos because I want you use a different movie. Once you pick a movie describe how it follows at least ten of the stages of the “Hero's Journey”. Remember, this doesn't just apply to stereotypical hero movies. They could be romantic comedies, Disney films, Dramas, etc.

The Hero's Journey
The hero’s journey has been beautifully described in Disney’s Tarzan. The story of this movie revolves around an orphaned infant raised by gorillas. Tarzan is quite different from The Lord of The Rings as the hero is introduced to the audience as an ordinary man, belonging to “The Ordinary World.” A leopard kills Tarzan's parents, and he is adopted and raised by a family of gorillas. Gradually, he befriends all animals and struggles to keep up with them. Unlike other heroes of Hollywood movies, Tarzan can predict that something big is about to happen, and this stage can be regarded as “Call to Adventure.”
The viewers are then given a list of reasons why it is not always possible to follow the call of adventure. Kerchak asks Tarzan to stay away from human beings because they are a significant threat to the safety of animals, meaning he would have to “Refuse the Call to Adventure.” From Porter and Jane, Tarzan learns about the world and how to speak English fluently.
