This is a war painting by Tom Lea to describe a dawn attack on Palas group at the pacific island on September 15 1994 by the United States army. Tom Lea prepared the painting to describe what the men did in the battle ground and what the battle did to the men. It describes the veracity of the war, the deaths and the struggles that the war men underwent. It shows the horror of the war where men witness their colleagues being slaughtered by the enemy. The painting shows that the war involved deathly attacks with bombings that killed masses of soldiers.

This is the New York Times front page newspaper on the second of September 1945. The headline of the paper was the end of the World War II that was marked with celebrations by various people. President Harry Truman announced to crowds that had gathered outside the White House that the long awaited day since the Pearl Harbor had finally arrived; the Allied had lifted victory after six years of war. This was after Japan signed their surrender. Japan surrendered the war after suffering two atomic bombing at Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

This is audio in, which President Franklin Roosevelt tells Americans that the first of the Axis capitals was then in their hands was recorded on June 5, 1944. This was after the fall of Rome that came as a result of the Allies victory on the Battle of Monte Cassino. Monte Cassino blocked the way to Allies north route to Rome and they had to win the battle so as to capture Rome and to make further advances in the war.
