2. Analyzing Your Experience With Team Leadership and Team Effectiveness
Use the components of the Model of Team Leadership to describe a specific example of team leadership, which could be based on a team to which you currently belong or have observed (such as a sports team).
How effective is/was the designated leader or shared leadership in solving team problems and promoting team effectiveness? Provide a specific example.
Also, explain some of the factors contributing to effectiveness in terms of the leadership decisions and leadership actions. If the team leadership was not effective, how would you improve the team’s effectiveness?

1. Self-Assessment of Followership Style
With an independent thinking score of 18 and an active engagement score of 48, it is inferable that I fall in the conformist leadership style category. I agree fully with the results of the assessment because I think I am the kind of person who says “yes” when what I really want to say is “no.” Therefore, the results describe well my followership style because I tend to comply with orders from those I consider leaders. The results mean that I am a person that tends to avoid conflicts with authority and that I also participate actively in organizational activities. One time I participated in a teamwork activity whose goal was to develop strategies to improve customer service. While I would engage well with members through brainstorming and information sharing, I found it difficult to disagree with the points fronted by the team leader. This experience supports the questionnaire results that I am a conformist.
