The solution provided to the feedback problem and the equity theory is related to various concepts learnt in class. Effective and real time feedback is a significant element of a successful performance management that should be utilized together with resolving performance objectives. When effective feedback is offered to employers on their progress towards the organizational objectives, workforce performance will develop. Fedor and Buckley et al (1987) showcase that employees rely on the information they obtain from their organization’s managements to make adjustments that will enable them achieve the provided goals. The primary objective of feedbacks in organizations is to develop the employee’s capabilities and enable them to generate more income. Employees have the right to be informed about the quality of their performance in their organizations. Positive feedback mostly focuses on what an employer did, rather than the feelings that the management might believe to underpin their actions. Negative feedback is generally alleged to be less accurate than positive feedback as also lacks the accurateness required to transform a certain behavior.
Equity theory is based in the concept that workers are motivated by equality and if they recognize disparities in the throughputs (inputs and outputs) rations of themselves and their reference group, they will seek to modify their effort to reach their alleged fairness. Adams, and Freedman, (1976) introduced the conception that equity and fairness are significant elements of motivated workers, who will positively influence the organizational performance. Adams, and Freedman et al (1976) illustrate that equity theory of incentive demonstrate the affiliation between the worker’s acuity of how equally they are being treated and how hard they are being motivated to work.
