Conway (2008) argues about politics’ gender gap. It refers to the variations between men and women in public opinion, voting, policy issues, including other political participation. The article evaluates previous studies on the political gender gap affecting Whites and African Americans. The evaluation also focuses on gender gap patterns in other ethnicities and does a comparison. The groups involved include Hispanic, American Indian, White, African American, and Asian American. Conway uses information from different surveys performed between 1990 and 2004. Simien (2013) investigates the current status and history of African Americans’ public opinion studies and discovers areas or gaps for future investigation. He identifies that ethnic group has been increasingly disregarded and not prioritized in the American political process. The author’s investigation compiles data with crucial figures from 1930s sources to the current ones. Moreover, the article evaluates the existing status of African Americans’ opinions and finds potential research gaps.
The final article is about gender, public opinion, and political reasoning. According to Huddy et al. (2008), political behavior and attitudes differ significantly among men and women. Despite the relatively slight differences, it does not offset the political power. These differences are always traced back to variations in behavioral trends and personality features among men and women.
