In the creation of marketing campaigns and advertisements, the creators often combine events together. They combine the brand or the product with a pleasant stimulus. The combination of these two elements results in behavioral change towards the product. In advertising, the classical conditioning theory is used as a persuasion tool. Advertisers use classical conditioning to excite positive feelings about a product in the audience. When the audience experiences a positive reaction to one stimulus, the advertisers in turn pair that stimulus with their product hoping that the audience will react similarly to their product (Weiten, 2014).
