Most people believe that every successful project requires strict adherence to the project management cycle that has five phases. These include conception and initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, and finally, closure/termination (Eby, 2018). I believe that each of the five stages play a crucial role in the systemic implementation of a project. Therefore, following the phases guarantees the success of the project thus each step should be followed without fail. Skipping any of these processes can lead to higher costs, missed deadlines, and frustration among the staff leading to project failure.
The initiation phase plays a vital role in defining and outlining the project broadly. It also determines the feasibility of the project, which determines whether it should be undertaken (Pathak, 2018). The second phase of planning sets the roadmap to be followed by setting the goals and objectives of the project. This phase also requires identification of the costs, available resources, and sets the timelines (Eby, 2018)....
