Background corporate-level The corporate strategy affects the organization as a whole and is aimed at maximizing the profitability and ensuring that the business is successful in future. Flex started as a Kuwaiti-based gym focuses on multiple industries and has concentrated in industries with high growth potential. The Flex Resorts and Real Estate Co K.S.C.C company provides athletic fitness centres and recreation fitness centres. The main activities are personal training and fitness, but there are also diet programs, childcare services and cafes. Other centres that have been opened are: “Flex Executive, Flex Fitness Women, Flex Family, Flex Spa and Salon, Flex Gourmet and Flex Clinic.” (Flex, 2020). The company has focused on a growth strategy through the expansion of services and the markets served.
Corporate parenting
The value creating activities in corporate parenting for the organization revolved around marketing sales, and service. Flex first targeted men and then children and women and there is emphasis on healthy living, lifestyles and fitness. There is focused corporate parenting, which helps in managing the diversified, but closely linked businesses.
