The idea of being the ‘new kid' is terrific and it has always been. Graduating to the university brought me both happiness and fright. I was happy to join the University. The freedom the University students have is what all the high school graduates look forward to. Another thing that made me happy was the fact that I got the chance to be admitted to my dream university- the Pace University. Its prowess in providing training and knowledge both in and out of class is enticing. The University is flexible when it comes to curriculum. It provides an environment that is ideal for both personal and collaboration studying. The fact that it is on the front line in tackling global issues in a different perspective is what interested my parents. It was a great place to be.
However, my fears suppressed my joy. This thrilling fear of the unknown overtook my joy. I was terrified of my new lecturers, my colleagues, and environment. The fear of getting lost in the hallways labyrinth when looking for restrooms could not allow me to express my joy. I have always had a big problem with flexibility. I could not adapt to the new environment easily. It was inevitable for me to fall sick. The fear was fostered by my personal background. I am an introvert, and I have always been. Getting along with companies was hard for me.
