I have a relatable experience to the movie because of my fascination about artists and watching live theatre plays. In the movie, Ruby is an extremely talented ballet dancer who meets Johnnie who is a really good violinist. They fall in love and collaborate to put on an awesome number for a contest and win. This may not be the same as a theatre play, but watching live performances had always been one of my favorite activities to do.
High strung is about a ballerina named Ruby and Johnnie who is a sensational violin player. Ruby is taking classes at the Manhattan Conservatory of the Arts while Johnnie is not aspiring to pursue his ambition. Although, they become drawn to each other and work together to so that Johnnie can join a violin contest.
Despite of being able to keep audiences entertained the entire time, High Strung needs to have more assortment of characters to rise above other movies about music. Furthermore, the role of Jane Seymour is underwritten and giving her more scenes in the movie could have raised the movie’s ratings.
