Various books can be easily converted into a movie to fit the target audience and to reach a large number of people. Fault on our starts book is one of the books that has been successfully produced into a movie by the same name. There are notable differences between the book and the movie. In this essay, I am going to cover differences in three main aspects; characters, mood, and the plot the book and the film.
Aspects
1 Plot
In the book, the parents of Augustus Waters are not willing to let him go downstairs so that he can watch with Hazel Grace without supervision. Gus shows us her basement, and then they watch the film from the living room. In the movie, both of them go downstairs to watch the movie without the guidance of the parents.
In the book, Hazel and Mr. Lancaster hear Gus crying and yelling at his mother before they leave for a trip to Amsterdam. The incident is not shown in the film.
