[date] Political crimes and corruptions are still rampant in every government in the world despite the efforts to cut them. Political figures and parties are often tainted, in one way or another, with misconducts and unethical political views (Alesina, Piccolo, & Pinotti, 2019). People have become used to the government playing dirty with politics and using influential people to advance on personal agenda. In some cases, political powers even become tools to operate without legal accountabilities some illegal actions and businesses.
Organized crimes are among the wide-range offenses that operate like legal works and businesses (Maltz, 1976). Prominent people, either in politics or the business industry, often back up these crimes. At worse, the influential people are the very owner or benefactor of the misconducts and violations. Despite the danger of their actions, organized crimes are still in operation because they may have planted a deep connection in politics and other big industries.
Because these crimes front seemingly legal requirements and operations, they can get away from the attention of the authorities. Some of them would have offices, staff, and even legal, probably forged, documents to hide their illegal business operations (Maltz, 1976). Unless tipped with pieces of evidence and a warrant, authorities have no access nor power to these spaces because it will be their responsibility.
Organized crimes that have a link to politics are even harder to penetrate for investigation and accountability. Because of the people behind these operations, it is easier to block nay complaints, tips, and even evidence-based accusations. The power t...
