Coursework Instructions:

Given that word limits is about two pages in double space and we are having a 400-level course, I hope that you do not spend too much space on summary of the selected readings. Rather, it would be better to point out some of the specific arguments made by the author and provide your own critique in your RR. For example, one point made by the author is based on her interpretation of a paragraph of the primary sources, but you find that there are some problem of her analysis therefore the point/idea made by her cannot be justified. You do not need to cover all the main arguments or points made by the author, just highlight a specific one that interests you or you think is problematic.
Only need to choice one reading to write, dont need to write really well

Neo-Confucianism originated in china and spread to other neighboring countries such as Japan and Joseon Korea. Neo-Confucian leadership had already proved to be effective in the first place as it had eliminated conflicts between these countries. Neo-Confucian leadership was an upgrade of Confucianism, which had religiously divided the three countries; in Taoism and Buddhism. Neo-Confucianism can’t be blamed for failing because of being slow, but i...
