The Declaration of Independence and the Declaration of Sentiments form the most significant documents in American history. Both documents highlight the rights and freedom of Americans. Both documents share similarities and differences, as The Declaration of Independence was highlighted first, followed by the Declaration of Sentiments. Another similarity is that the documents were formulated to cater to the welfare of Americans. They both highlighted problems Americans faced and addressed how to attain human rights and freedom and how to escape those problems. Further, the two documents shares similar segments and sentence structure in more than one instance, which makes them appear interconnected. For example, the statement “When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary……..” is used in both documents.
