In his book “Three Cups of Tea” Greg Morrison tries to explain the main problems that faced the local people in Afghanistan during the rule of Taliban. In trying to liberate the people from bondage and slavery he focuses on educating the locals to ensure they are enlightened to face life. In this he fights a cold war against the local Taliban rulers since in educating the locals they are able to know and fight for their rights. In his quest to liberate the people, he establishes schools to educate and enlighten girls (Mortenson, & Relin, 2007).
His humanitarian assistance is mainly focused on girls since when boys become educated they move to other towns and cities to look for employments; however girls stay in the community and promote growth and development. This can be linked to a cold war in view of the fact that when a society...
