The efficiency of EBP is based on the fact that nurses’ interventions are practical, which leads to methodical decisions based on research. Consequently, utilizing evidence-based strategies for supporting and enhancing family engagements help hospitals to provide the highest quality and most cost-efficient patient care. Therefore, this paper seeks to provide a comprehensive discussion of the benefits of implementing evidence-based strategies for supporting and enhancing family engagements to patients and hospitals.
A major aspect of evidence-based strategies for supporting and enhancing family engagements is the meaning it incorporates in the mission and vision statements. The incorporation ensures that the resulting framework creates an environment in which patients, hospital staff, and families work together as partners to improve the quality and safety of patients (Herrin, 2016). Through these engagements, clinicians integrate the best information with their clinical expertise in making informed decisions.
