Nursing students try to improve the healthcare system through various aspects. They do conduct research or improve the quality of the medical system. However, research and improved quality may seem slightly similar, but the methods and environment used are different.
Research is an intensive and systematic study done by the research students to increase the knowledge and skills or the understanding of the subject being studied. In most cases, research involves the systematic application of devices, materials, methods, or systems to meet a specific and recognized need for the study. According to Jocelyn 2020, she terms research is the gathering of information on a specific study. Most results from research are always published in academic journals (Fowler, 2016). The policies that entail in the research must be followed very strictly, and any deviation from the research should be reported. Furthermore, research must be approved by the Institutional Review Board before the beginning, and the research project must be supported by administrative personnel of the given hospital.
