The essence of a research design and subsequent study, is usually to ascertain the effectiveness of certain proposals related to the same. Fact finding and evidence based practices are usually the driving factors behind any medical research. In this case, the research study was clinically significant because of the overarching relevance of its findings on not only the juvenile and young portion of the population, but also the entire generational cohort that it can encompass. The use of descriptive and general statistics in the study is effective and therefore, important in ensuring that there is indeed a thorough method of capturing the finer details of the population sample and its various characteristics.
According to the Chamberlain College of Nursing (2017), the essence of a statistical study is to help address the predictive risk of the prevalence of a particular ailment within a given population (Chamberlain College of Nursing, 2017). In this case, trauma and depression among the younger portion of the population is identified to be more severe than in the other portion of it. The clinical importance therefore, comes in through the parameterization of methods and procedures under a medical setting, to control the factors that might predispose these individuals to such psychological problems.
