Capital budgeting is very vital when it comes to decision making. The operation of any firm is effective only if capital budgeting is handled carefully. Any capital investment done should be handled carefully. Any investment done should be in a position to bringing returns. The reason why the target audience to be specific in my case, the hospital manager and the board will accept the proposal of CT medical imaging will entirely depend on its returns. It is business, and the purpose of business is the profits and the satisfaction of the community.
The manager and the hospital board will accept the proposal because of the reasons discussed bellow. According to the National Science Foundation (NSF), together with other agencies of research, the justification of a proposal lies on two things; the intellectual merits and the broader impacts. The intellectual merit is the ability of the proposed project to encompass scientific research as well as advance knowledge. The broader impact here is the ability of the project to advantage the society at large. It should as well be in a position to achieve a certain desired outcome by the society.
Basing on the intellectual merits, the proposed project is of high quality and has a potential of advancing. The internal images that the CT scan produces are of high quality as they are in 3-D form.
