Episode one
Mr. Levy sees himself as a tired, fed up, stressed, and sick person. In his mind, he considers himself as sick of the world and the atmosphere around him. And all this started after he left Iran making him believe there is something wrong with him.
Levy's wife thinks that Levy has got a drinking problem, and he needs help. He sat on the couch and drinking while watching television the whole night, and this certifies the fact that Levy wakes up every morning when he is drunk.
Implications
Levy’s drinking and anger is tearing the family apart. His wife feels like his actions are tearing their marriage and setting a bad example for their children. The anger can brew into something serious like violence, which will leave the wife and kids as victims. In other words, his problem is putting toil on the family relationship and his marriage.
Episode Two
The social worker's ideas are both good and bad. The good part is that there are treatments used by clients like Mr. Levy, and they have been proven to work. However, not that the treatments she suggested might work for him in particular.
The questions were appropriate because the social worker has to first have information about the treatments before suggesting them for the patient. Mr. Levy’s supervisor’s advice was accurate and worthy because the social worker needs to meet the patient in person and research more on the treatments so that she knows there are compatible with the patient.
Episode Three
I think the therapist’s response was a noble one. She was not too rude, but polite since she gave Mr. Levy solutions that can help him out with how he can express himself and let the pain out.
The therapy session went on well. Mr. Levy ended up having a little control over his anxiety, emotions, and his articulation of words. The breathing exercise got Jake Levy a little control over his fears and anxiety. All in all, I found the session helpful, communicative, and healthy.
