Person protective equipment (PPE) within the hospital setting is instrumental as it keeps patients and healthcare providers safe (Spanò et al., 2016). However, the priority is always the patient. Hence, engineers and practitioners have come together to help design healthcare technology equipment that can be used to keep patients safe within the intensive care unit and emergency rooms. This technology is wearable patient monitoring equipment. I intend to use this technology in my capstone project because it has been proven to have significant health benefits for patients with emergency cases.
