Evidence-based medicine is improving the existing quality assurance practices in healthcare. Evidence-based healthcare management enhances the effectiveness of managerial and organizational decisions by bridging practice and theory gaps, which significantly impacts hospital performance and quality assurance practices (Janati et al., 2018). In addition, evidence-based medicine provides a model guiding hospital process to ensure they meet high-quality standards. The dimensions of the model include: (a) scheduling to ensure efficient allocation of resources to conduct specific tasks, (b) capacity planning to assign each resource a value articulated by the volumes of functions executed with such the specified assets, (c) queue concept as an approach to describe phenomena that ensures not all anticipated functions are implemented, as well as (d) quality control approach to guarantee appropriate conditions for completing specified tasks (Myszewski & Sinha, 2018). These considerations establish a viable model of factors influencing the effective execution of tasks within a process to improve existing quality assurance practices.
