Agonists are naturally occurring neurotransmitters that activate the receptors. In contrast, antagonist usually blocks the actions of agonists; nevertheless, inverse agonists also cause action opposite of agonist. Antagonists can block anything in the agonist spectrum, including inverse agonists. The agonist spectrum is classified into two types, namely partial agonist, where the agonist is not as strong as the full agonist and partial inverse agonist (Mannelli et.al 2012). The antagonist can block the full and partial agonists from reducing any pain and would also prevent the full and partial inverse agonists from causing pain.
G-protein gated ion channels are definite ion channel situated in the plasma that is reliably activated by a related family.
