This is an idea worth suggesting because childhood speech apraxia impacts a child’s capacity to produce syllables and sounds consistently and precisely, including producing sentences and words based on correct and accurate speech rhythm. Despite being a rare condition, it is important to investigate as it affects 0.1 percent of the population (Morgan et al., 2018). In this case scenario, the 3-year-old attended 24 sessions within a nine months’ timescale. The music therapy intervention entailed a combination of improvisational, behavioral, and creative strategies based on an approach typically referred to as data-based music therapy.
