What are your thoughts/feelings about this family at this point based on what you know from the case study? Any biases, assumptions that have come up?
From this video, it is evident that listening to one’s family brings positivity in life and helps us resolve different issues (Noesner & Webster, 1997).
What roles should be considered when meeting with the parent(s)? What role will each member be playing in the meeting?
When it comes to meeting parents, the child (boy or girl) should speak to them politely, must have eye contact with them, and need to respond using his body language and the tongue (Buckley, 1998).
Consider readings (above) and course content to date, what do you need to consider when meeting with the parent for the first time?
Meeting with parents for the first time means I will have to sit with them, give them enough time, listen to them and share my ideas, opinions, and thoughts with them. Keeping a smile on my face during this conversation session is also important (Wallwork, 2014).
