The video, “Ford Hood soldier, comes home to surprise his four kids at school" by KCEN News talks about a military man who returned home after eight months of deployment to surprise his children at school. According to the video, Sergeant Mathew Sanford, a Fort Hood soldier and the father of four, returned home after being deployed in Korea for eight months. One by one, the school principal called the children to the school library for a big surprise. His children were excited when they saw their father return home after a long time. His wife, Caren Sanford, shed tears of joy when she saw her husband reunite with the family. The video shows how excited a family can be when it reunites one of its loved ones who have been away for a long time.
It is evident from the video that family members can be so excited when they reunite after a prolonged period. For instance, For Hood was excited when he reunited with his family after eight months of deployment. His children were also happy when they say their father after a prolonged absence. The same is evident in other children.
The absence of a father for a long time can impact early childhood education negatively. Firstly, it can promote trauma in children, leading to reduced performance of a child in school. It is also associated with an increased risk of developing behavioral problems in school (Cozza & Lerner, 2013). This is due to the stress and trauma that comes with the absence of the father. Research shows that fathers play significant roles...
