Introduction
Social media is an internet and technology-based system that allows users to share ideas, thoughts, and information through virtual networks and communities. An internet-based platform gives users instant communication of various content, including personal information, documents, videos, and photos, via computer, tablet, smartphone, and web-based applications. Over the last decade, the globe has witnessed unprecedented growth in social media platforms. Millions of users and organizations worldwide use social media platforms for various reasons, including sharing information, education, advertisements, fun, social interaction, among many other reasons. With more capabilities and advancements being added to various social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn, social media is likely to grow. Thus, businesses must take opportunities to tap opportunities presented by these platforms because its popularity is unlikely to wane as more people are getting techno-savvy.
