I would not like to live in a society that only values a person’s outward appearance for several reasons. First, a society that values people’s physical appearance could easily perceive “unattractive people more negatively than their attractive counterparts, thus undermining their ability to leverage opportunities. Considering that there is no standard measure for good looks, such a society could make it difficult for some people to lead desirable lives and orchestrate their unfair domination by the “good-looking” members of society.
